This privacy policy describes how One Happy Jukebox (“the Service”) handles information when you use the jukebox client at juke.dade.tube and related browser extension software.
We do not maintain a central account database or long-term profile about you on our servers. Preferences you set—such as your display name, language choice, search history, and jukebox connection details—are kept on your own device only (for example in your browser’s local storage) unless you clear them yourself.
When you join a jukebox session, your song choices, queue updates, display name, and related session messages are sent directly to the jukebox you are connected to (the host running the extension at that venue). That transmission uses peer-to-peer networking between your device and the host; it is not uploaded to a separate cloud service operated by us for the purpose of building user profiles.
On the jukebox host, session and queue information exists only for the purpose of running the current session. After the videos you selected have been played and the session data is no longer needed for playback, that information is discarded rather than retained for marketing or analytics.
When you search for songs, the text of your search query may be saved for up to one week in the jukebox host’s browser storage (on the venue computer running the extension). This short-term cache helps repeat searches load faster and reduces API usage. These saved search terms are not associated with your display name or any other information that identifies who searched for them.
The Service or the site that serves the client may use cookies or similar browser storage technologies where needed for basic operation, security, or your preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Searching for and playing videos may involve third-party services (such as YouTube). Those services have their own privacy policies and may collect information according to their terms. We do not control third-party data practices.
The Service is intended for use in social or venue settings under the supervision of the jukebox operator. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a dedicated registration process because we do not operate such registration.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
